How  Often should you get a deep conditioner?
I recommend that you should deep condition your hair every two weeks. Reason being is that it depends on how
dry your hair is.

How Often should a hot oil treatment be applied?
In my opinion I recommend that you should get a hot oil treatment no more than once a month if your hair is very
dry. If you do the treatment to much you can weigh your hair down. Also it can be applied with your conditioner and
you can sit under the dryer for about 5 to 10 minutes and rinse out and style as you would normally.

Why is it important to shampoo your hair when you have a weave?Whats a great shampoo/
conditioner for weaves?
While wearing a weave, it is very important to care for your hair under the hairweave. You must still shampoo to
remove any excess dirt, oils..etc from your hair and the weave hair. It is important that you don't neglect your hair
or the weave (added hair). This will ensure that your own hair stays healthy and the weave hair is in its most
manageable state. You also want to use a light shampoo that will not weigh the hair down. A good shampoo &
conditioning system to try is Kera Care's line for Weaves and Extensions. It will clean and condition without adding
extra weight to the hair.

How often/ when should a protein treatment be applied?
You may only have protein treatment about every month or so...especially after any chemical treatment such as
color or relaxers. I suggest having a professional apply the treatment for you because although protein treatments
are helpful they can also be harmful if you apply them improperly, too often, or when not needed. Your hair is
already made of protein or keratin and if you overload your hair with it you will experience breakage.

Should ends be clipped when you get a relaxer?
Yes, you should get  your ends clipped when you get a relaxer.  There are several reasons you should get a trim:
1.  Your hair is at its straightest point.  2. Your hair has grown so you won’t  see a big difference in loss of length.
3.  Along with getting a relaxer, you will find that your hair will look and feel healthier if you get your ends trimmed.
4.  It makes styling you hair much easier and your style will last longer.
 (Shay)

How often should you get a relaxer?
The average length of time between relaxers is about 6 to 8 weeks, depending on how fast your hair grows.  If you
have a tapered cut, you might have to get your nape relaxed every  4 weeks.

In what case would a net be applied for a sewn- in weave?
A net can be used when your natural hair is too short to braid in certain areas, but is long enough to form a bridge
around the perimeter  in order to secure it in place.

How often should hair be shampooed?  Hair should be shampooed as often as necessary, depending on
how quickly the scalp and hair become soiled. Oily hair should be shampooed more often than normal or dry hair
(Miquelle)

(J. Dickerson)Since my hair is damaged how much will have to be cut in order to have it look
healthy. Why do my edges get nappy within two weeks of the relaxer?
Most of the time, when hair is damaged, its good to cut or trim off any damaged, dry, or brittle ends.  The amount
that needs to be cut can depend on a number of things and just how extreme the damage is. This has to be
determined by what is going on with the individual's hair. In addition to a trim/ haircut, I also recommend that a
treatment is applied to the hair (based on the type of damage......chemical, heat, lack of moisture..etc) to repair
and correct any damage. Also allow a professional stylist to suggest a hair care regimen to get your mane back on
the right track

My hair is extremely dry and a little brittle is there any product i can use to restore moisture.
Thanks
.  When your hair is dry, it needs moisture and when it is brittle, it needs protein.  There are many protein
treatments available and some may be purchased from your local beauty supply store.  Please read the directions
and follow your directions exactly how they dictate.  But after you have done that, you will need a moisture
conditioner.  I strongly suggest that you have a professional hair stylist to apply this type of treatment to you hair
and so the professional can properly determine if this is the type of tretment needed for your condition. An
excellent protein system that we use here in the salon is the Mizani renew strength for damaged hair system.  It
actually has protein and moisture in it.

Keep in mind that if you shampoo your hair once a week, you can only use the protein products  once every 2 to 3
weeks, but you can use Mizani’s puriphying shampoo and moisturefuse conditioner in the interim.  Also, keep in
mind that if you use too much of the protein, you can turn a potentially good thing into a nightmare, so if you are
not entirely sure what’s going on with your hair, please see a licensed professional so they can guide you in the
right direction. All the products I've mentioned are available here, at Salon Miquelle and we would love to assist
you with your hair issues.
